Cancer Support
Living with cancer brings challenges that affect not only the person with the diagnosis, but also their carers and loved ones. I understand how overwhelming this can feel and I offer a supportive space to navigate these experiences together.
My interest in this area began during my Master’s thesis, which focused on cancer survivorship. Since then, I have worked in three major Adelaide public hospitals supporting people through different stages of their cancer experience. I also had the privilege of establishing a psycho-oncology service at a London district hospital, where I supported patients and families confronting the impact of cancer.
I recognise that a life-changing diagnosis can stir up earlier life traumas or exacerbate pre-existing difficulties. Drawing on my skills in trauma therapy, I help people safely explore and work through these additional struggles, so they feel better supported and resourced as they move through their health challenges.
Whether you are actively undergoing treatment, caring for someone who is, or living with the challenges of survivorship, I am here to walk alongside you. My therapy space is located at Mindwise Psychologists. For more information about accessing therapy please visit the Mindwise website:
