About Bec…

I have developed skills working in a diverse range of in mental health settings including public health, university. private practice and community settings in Australia and the United Kingdom. I’m a member of the Australian Psychological Society and a Board-approved supervisor.

I have specialist skills in supporting people affected by chronic illness, particularly cancer, and understand the complex challenges that can arise following a life changing diagnosis. I understand the unique difficulties of supporting a close loved one with cancer and I am committed to offering a safe space for exploration and reflection during times of uncertainty and change.

I also have extensive experience in delivering Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT). I completed my original training in the UK and, on return to Australia, was on the Compassionate Mind Australia committee and received supervision from Prof. Paul Gilbert. I bring this framework into both my clinical work and the supervision I provide. I'm passionate about supporting practitioners to grow in confidence when working with clients experiencing shame, self-criticism, or trauma.

People describe me as warm and down-to-earth and my aim is to create a space where people feel safe, respected, and understood. Outside of work, I enjoy being in nature, crafting, and spending time with my pets.
